Lawton Ursrey was recently invited to participate as a featured speaker at EarthShare’s Leadership Challenge for the 21st Century business leaders organization. The summer program, which is held yearly at Berry College, concentrates on preparing Georgia’s young adults for the leadership and business challenges facing future generations. Since the camp centralizes its mission on ways to sustain and strengthen the environment, the story of INDIE PEACE perfectly embodied their core values. In addition to sharing the unique story of INDIE, Lawton focused on challenging the group to think of ways they could be more green.  Hopefully this experience has helped to encourage, and further educate, younger audiences on the important alliance between effective business tactics and increasing environmental concerns.

On July 8th, 2009, Lawton Ursrey was featured on the Mother Nature Network to speak of his co-founding experience of his clothing company that needs no introduction; a company that “makes its mark without leaving one.” He speaks of his long hours in the basement, preparing for Nordstorm shipments and the tiring efforts he’s put into a company that landed Nordstorm in just 6 months.

On 11 Alive last week, the NFL’s highest paid full-back, number 34 Falcon’s teammate, Ovie Mughelli sported INDIE PEACE while testing out the Magic Jack. Mughelli met up with INDIE at an ECO-SHOW not long ago and purchased six of INDIE’s unique designs!

Choosing INDIE as his shirt choice for his appearance on 11 Alive shows his constant support for the environment. As the NFL’s first eco-athlete, Mughelli chose INDIE as his eco-fashion line.
